PowerBook G4 is not working????

My powerbook g4 does not seem to boot up????? What happens is the apple logo comes up, then the twirly loading comes and thats all. I waited hours but nothing happened, just the apple logo and the loading sign. This happened when i tried to update the computer. please help |

What were you trying to update? First tip try and reset the PRAM by booting and holding down Command, Option, P and R all at the same time. Keep held down until after the third chime and release. If no joy, unplug and let stand for ten minutes, plug in and try again. If all still fails, try booting from your system install disc by holding down 'C'after the chime, go to Utilities > Disk Utility > Repair Disk and see what is reported. The drive may be failing. Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer! |
