I bought a 2005 powermac G5 from a buddy and he says that it works BUT i haven't bin able to power up yet.
after plugging everything in there is a white light by power button, and when i push power button, i can see the two lower fans twitch once. thats it, thats all i got out of the thing. i replaced the power source and the 1/2 AA battery on motherboard. What should i do or get? but keep in mind, that i don't have alot of money. so kinda need to know if i should leave this hunk of junk on the hood of my buddys car or should i replace something inorder to get it working |

check to see if the white light blinks. If so, the number of blinks will indicate what a potential problem is. The 2005 G5s were plagued with issues relating to the solder joints of the RAM slots.
