I bought a 2005 powermac G5 from a buddy and he says that it works BUT i haven't bin able to power up yet.
after plugging everything in there is a white light by power button, and when i push power button, i can see the two lower fans twitch once. thats it, thats all i got out of the thing.
i replaced the power source and the 1/2 AA battery on motherboard.
What should i do or get? but keep in mind, that i don't have alot of money. so kinda need to know if i should leave this hunk of junk on the hood of my buddys car or should i replace something inorder to get it working
QUOTE Thanks

check to see if the white light blinks. If so, the number of blinks will indicate what a potential problem is. The 2005 G5s were plagued with issues relating to the solder joints of the RAM slots.

Take it back to your buddy and demand your money back today!

Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!
