Connect my MBP to my Mac Pro

Hi all, can anyone enlighten me as to how to connect my MBP to my Mac Pro? My 23" ACD screen just died and I need to access files from the my Mac Pro.

Connect a F/W cable between the two machines and boot the MBP then boot the Mac Pro while holding the "t" key down till you see the Mac Pro HDD mount on the MBP desk top.
