I have a work laptop (pc) and the only output on it is a VGA out. I have a 27" imac that is less than a year old and I would love to use the display as a monitor for my laptop since I will be working from home a lot. Googling provided me with a way to make it work if I had an HDMI out but unfortunately I only have a VGA out. Anyone done this with success?
Thanks in advance and I apologize if this has been answered before, searching did not provide any solid answers. |

Your other option would be to trade it with someone who has the older iMac without the thunderbolt that is comparable to what you have.
