I have an iMac with 4GB of ram.

Which one should I buy on this website? I'm a total noob with apple computers, so be gentle

what year is your imac? just wondering because you say "max 8" altho the new iMacs can use much more. maybe just give a detail of your system so you dont get false information.

How much Ram are you wanting? There are 4 dimm slots in the iMac so you could put it two more 2gb dimms for 8gb total or you can put in 4 4gb dimms.

all the ram that you presented on that website would work. best to put in two matching dimms at a time. and i always put bigger dimms closer to the processor. not sure this matters on mac. but i learned to always do it on PC's so thats what i do

Yeah mate your better buying as much as you can at the mo whilst the price is so low. I installed 16Gb from Crucial a few days before my iMac was scheduled to come and fitted it just after I removed the iMac from the box.

Tis a doddle.
