DVD-R problem

Hi, I use mac os x 10.5.8 with imac,I tried to erase my dvd-r data that i burned but say that i can't delete because i not have enought privilege, then i tried in disk utility but i can't delete and say that i can only read. How to delete a thing that you can only read?

chscag is offline
DVD-R and DVD+R disks are not erasable. Only DVD RW disks can be erased.
