Go to System Preferences > Sharing.
Enable "Personal File Sharing" and "Windows Sharing". If you your Mac still cannot find the Windows box, then see if you have any firewall on in your Windows box. I switched April myself and had the very same problem. After disabling the firewall, I found that the Mac detects network connection automatically. To connect, click on Network in Finder and it should show your Windows computers. A list of share folders appears. Select one to mount it as a drive. Quite easy ![]() Congratulations on your first Mac! I love my mini as well It's been great experiences ever since!
