just a stupid question: are you using an upgrade disk or the full version.

i believe it is the full version as it gives me the chance to erase and install the full version. the first time i went to install it i chose upgrade and got the error message. second i chose to erase and install. it erased but never installed.

i would like to stay and help but i have to go. the only other thing i can think of is to check the cd out and make sure it is not all scratched up and to verify the the computer you are trying to install it on meets the requirements for Tiger.
