Hey all,

If I don't want to pay the guy a silly amount of money to do the actual install of my new's pretty easy for me to do right?? I know I've seen someone do it but it was a while ago...If I purchase the RAM sticks then how hard is it to actually install them??
QUOTE Thanks

Well, I would recommend you though to do it with your eyes open... :blind:

There's nothing complicated with upgrading memory, the modules only fit one way.

i second that - if fact i would not like to try it
with my eyes shut, things could get really silly.

the guy was making the point that it is easy with your eyes open
- even i can do it.

Apple provides pdf files for the CIP (Customer Installable Parts) here: If you search the support section you can even find a video of a memory installation on a G4.

This might help you a little more. For those that understand it more when they see it, here is a video of it.

One time, My dad got more and and was all, "Hey, I'm gonna put more RAM in." So I said, "Hey man, I'm gonna go pee." And in the 2 minutes I went pee, he had opened the computer, installed the RAM and closed it back up, hooked everything up, and turned it to. =) It's that easy.
