I recently purchased a new iMac and want to run my 30" cinema display as a second monitor. My local mac experts told me to use a mini display to dvi adaptor, but that didn't work for any of my cinema displays - the 30" that i want to use and a 21" that I have. I called the guys back up and after a little research, he told me to get a mini display port to dual link dvi adapter. This costs $99, so I want to be sure it's going to work.
Does anyone know if this will work, or if there is a better idea, or ****, does the new iMac even except a 2nd monitor. Thanks. Looking forward to your input. |

Hello,
Apple Cinema Display - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia According to Wikipedia; yes, you will need the Dual-Link DVI adapter in order to use the Apple Cinema Display (30"). |
