I'm looking into getting a mac mini, and I had a few questions about the mac mini server:
1- Does it allow me to host multiple sites (as long as I have room) 2- Could I host leaderboards for iPhone apps off of it? 3- Would it be a bad idea to buy a refurbished one from Apple? Any help is appreciated

1. Yes, BUT hosting websites is probably a violation of your service provider unless you are going into the hosting business and paying for business bandwidth. Service providers often react VERY BADLY if you decide to host sites on your home machine without telling them and then one of them gets popular. As in, banned for life, hit with huge bills, etc.
I really wouldn't recommend hosting sites on a home machine unless we are talking REALLY small-scale and your service provider doesn't have an issue with it. 2. Not that I know of. 3. Not at all. |
