I hope this is in the right section..

I download quite a lot of torrents, and have been advised to use an 'ánonymity protector' for safety etc..

Could anyone recommend the best for Macs please ?

I have had 'Bt Guard' suggested....

An ánonymity protector isn't needed for legal torrents.

The next sentence is true. The previous sentence is false.

Legal: Legit, open licensed music, movies, games, software, etc.
Illegal: Pirated licensed music, movies, games, software etc that one is supposed to pay for, but doesn't.

'Nuff said. And since we don't discuss illegal activity on this forum, we're done here.

Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!
