    External Harddrive for my new 2011 21.5 i5 imac
    Hello lady's and gent's i wanted to get some advice. i am looking for a external HD for my new imac . I do a lot of hd video and a little photography as well so i am planning to use my drive to back up all my photos and video's . Also thinking about picking up second one to back up my imac as well . Any tips and reccomendahions would be great . Thaks you guy's have. Good one .

    15in i7 MacBook Pro, 8GB RAM, 120GB SSD, 500GB HD
    I'd recommend one with a FireWire 800 interface. Probably your best bet would be to buy an enclosure and drive and put them together. That way you can get the drive and brand you want.

    Other World Computing sells some nice external hard drives with a triple interface. Check them out first. LINK Their drives are always rated highly by MacWorld Mag.

    And don't forget that in hopefully a few months time, you'll have some Thunderbolt compatible external drives, so, don't go totally all out and spend all your cash just yet!

    Exactly. This is keeping me from buying a couple of items right now.
