    New PowerMac G3 Owner
Hi all. This evening I just picked up an old apple PowerMac G3 for 10 pounds. Here are the specs.

    350mhz processor
    512 mb ram
    15 GB hard drive

It has no wifi so was wondering if I could connect it up to my macbook pro and use the macbook pros internet connection. Any other useful tips for the Powermac g3 would be great.

Maybe a PCI card or Ethernert Adapter could be the go. Also G3's from memory could not support WPA protocols so perhaps its own connection will be the go. Also probably be restricted to 802.11bco nnection speeds.
Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!

Did a quick search and came up with this:

MacWireless - Wireless Cards & Adapters - 11g PCI Card

Little pricey for such an old box but shows that decent speeds are possible.
