I have an old iMac G3/400 DV SE with 256mb of ram. I plan on upgrading the ram to 512mb of ram. I was wondering if this ram would work in it?

find what type, how much, etc. for any Mac.

I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth.

Here you go...

512MB PC100 CL2 168 Pin SDRam 2-2-2 fo... (OWC100SD512328) at OWC

Buy 2 of the 512 modules, max it out to 1GB, and be much happier. OS X loves 1.0 GB+ of RAM. Trust me... I have 640mb (maxed out) in my 500MHz G3 iBook, and it's sluggish... and the other way around, 2GB in my MDD G4 tower, and it's speedy.

Good for you. OWC have a lifetime warranty on their memory and by the time the eBay auction ended, would probably be dearer to boot!

Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!
