    Hi Guys,

I have noticed my iMac has gone mega slow today. I have been working it very hard all day! Burning Creating downloading movies etc. It takes about 10 seconds for a word to appear on Microsoft office. I have stopped all of the burning etc All I have open is mail and safari with one tab! and still is very slow!
Could this fix be as simple as shutting it down for 30 minutes?

Yes, or just restart it would probably be fine.

And i would open Activity Monitor and have a look as to what is taking up all your Memory. Click the System Memory tab down the bottom and then a wagon wheel will come up.
How much green do you have and in the window what is using it all. It could well be Safari has been open for some time and you need to quit it.
I find if i have Safari open for longer than 5-6 hrs i need to quit it bc it takng up over 1.2gb of memory.

Just a thought for next time as Kevs suggestion should fix you up

    Cheers
