Just curious. It's one of the reasons why I've been holding out for the refresh (in case Apple changes the hardware in some way) - otherwise a refurb i5 would probably do me well.

I've got a i7 27" iMac and it doesn't have any problem with sleeping. Even if it did, that's most likely a software issue, a hardware refresh would hardly do anything there..

Funny you should say that - on several occasions I've got up in the morning to find my 2006 white 20-inch iMac up and running. I was thinking more of the problems people seem to have had waking them from sleep.
