    I saw that the University i'm at had one of these beasts on the shelf in the tech room:



    how much are these worth nowadays? any memories conjured up? interesting facts?

    No clue but I saw one of these in the hallways last semester. It was free apparently.

    I wish I had one of those... I mistakenly got rid of a Classic II. Any of the SE/Classic/Classic II/128k/512k/etc. models go for good money on eBay.

    Best place to pick one up is at a garage sale. When the weather gets a bit warmer and the garage sales start going, keep your eyes open. Most folks that put them out in garage sales have no idea what their value is.

    Pictured is the "dual-floppy" version of the Macintosh SE. It also came in a single floppy & hard drive version (which I purchased an example of about 2 weeks ago for $15.00).

    iMac 24" AL 2.93 GHz Intel C2D - SSD, HDD external, OS X 10.7, 4 GB Ram
    I have it's brother the Mac Plus (April 1987). bought it in December 1987 as a Christmas present to myself ($3999.95); great present back in the day. Came with 1 MB of ram, but had it upgraded to 4 MB (that was the max).
