i have a 20 inch intel imac white and my usb ports dont detect any of any external devices such hard drive and camera or usb flash ,but my keyboard and mouse are detected and work .I already did a smc reset and pram and they show up under the apple profiler and i created a new user and tried it from there still nothing .Will a power usb hub fix this issue ,i think its a low voltage issue any suggestions.I have tried all the ports as well all the same

The keyboard and mouse are low power items in that they do not draw as much current from the USB output ports that a hard drive, camera, or a flash drive.
A USB powered hub may help, but you really should find out why the USB ports on your iMac are not working right. |
