I have a G5 ( Dual 2.5Ghz Power Mac 7.3 / Power PC G5 (3.0)) that currently has a ATI Radeon 9600XT video card.

I would like to upgrade the card to something that has dual link DVI capability for higher monitor resolution and and at the same time runs open GL well for the several 3d apps I run.

Does anyone have suggestions for a card that will straddle these 2 objectives?

Getting hard to find AGP 8X cards however a 9800 card or a X1900GT should be the go if you can find one. Do not purchase a PCI-E card for later Dual Core 2.5GHz models.

Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!
