Hi guys!

Sorry if this has already been asked.

I have just got a new 27" imac and went to play tales of monkey island, the game does not play full screen but is this just a case of the game is not designed for this size of resolution? or am i missing something?

Its very annoying and if this is just the way it has to be will take a wee bit to get used to! but what a machine and that screen is absolute amazing!!!
Thanks again apple!

Some games will not expand to run full screen while others will. I like to play Mac Doom once in awhile and although it will run full screen, the resolution it uses is horrible. I just play it at its best resolution which results in a window that takes up about 60% of the desktop. With a 27" display you have plenty of real estate to play on....

When OSX Lion comes out you will be seeing a lot more Full Screen-able apps by what Steve Jobs said on the last WWDC can't wait for the new OS.

Hey guys,

Ok now I am confused! I asked the guy in the apple store today regarding full screen gaming and was told that as the above member states that not all games are supported but was also told not to play games that did not fill entire screen as this would damage the part of the screen that was not getting used???? Guys please help!!

Well it is true that a still picture can damage parts of the screen, it's the main use for the screensaver really. You would however have to be very unlucky for it to actually happen to you.
