I have a Power Mac G5(Model #: A1047 EMC #: 1969) that doesn't have an airport card or bluetooth card. I would like to use a Blue Tooth mouse and use the N connection on my airport extreme base. My question is what is the most recent Airport Extreme card and bluetooth card I can put in it, and where can I find them? Can it use the card that has both combined?( I think that exist).

Thanks Corey

G''day and welcome to the forums.

Check if this is your 1.6GHz model:-

Power Macintosh G5 1.6 (PCI) Specs (Power Mac G5, M9020LL/A, PowerMac7,2, A1047, 1969) @ EveryMac.com

If so you will not get 802.11N as the machine's Airport Card will handle B/G only and you need the original 1.1 Bluetooth Card. No it cannot use the Combo card that Dual Core G5's use.

Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!
