Hello all,
I have read previous posts before but this is my first posting. I bought a Pioneer DVR-122 a couple years ago to use as a dedicated burner so I did not wear out my computers burner. I am currently burning 100 dvd's from IDVD. when i used to put a dvd in the pioneer a finder window would pop up and ask me what i wanted to do with it. Now when I put a DVD in I get nothing. I do not think it is being recognized. I do not think I need a Pioneer driver because it uses one already in the IMAC. I thought it was just the IDVD program but i hit the control button when I hit the burn key, to let me choose a drive and the pioneer does not come up. does anyone have any ideas. I have Mac OS X 10.6.5 thank you david |

G'day and welcome to the forums.
Go into Apple System Profiler )About this M<ac) and see if the burner is recognised. Sounds like the DVR-122 has failed and this can happen if you have burned many discs from it. In the meantime try cleaning the lens with a proprietary cleaner. Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer! |
