g4 quicksilver mdd 1.25Mhz dual doesnt boot up but fan comes on

Hi everyone I,m new to the Mac so I need help, I have a g4 1.25Mhz dual processor with 2gb ram running leopard its just started locking up and then wont boot but after about 15-20 seconds the fan comes on full power,any ideas please.

G'day and welcome to the forums.

You are getting power, so perhaps the PRAM battery needs replacing and the Power Management Unit (PMU) reset. Other things to consider include:-
