So I'm sitting in front of an iMac7,1 with 10.6.x. It's my grandparents computer, formerly mine. On boot up, for some reason TextEdit opens up, and then the whole computer freezes with rbod. 5 minutes of sitting here and nothing, it's done this 3 times after a reboot and it has to be hard reset in order to reboot it. I'm going to go get the SL install disc to make sure the hd is ok, but does anybody have any other ideas?

Ok well, it’s at our local Authorized Apple Service Provider, and is due back on Monday, the guy said he would phone when he found out what the problem was.

That was what I assumed, but either way, it was going to the AASP.
