I'd like to purchase memory ("Kingston 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) ECC Fully Buffered Dual Channel Kit Memory For Apple Mac Pro") from an online vendor, but before I purchase, I looked at a RAM configuration chart and didn't see the configuration that I'm planning on.

Could someone please tell me from looking at the enclosed screen capture of my existing memory, if 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) can simply be installed on my 'A' risers 3 & 4 or 'B' risers 3 & 4?

Thank you for your help!

Unless the MPs are different, they have to go in pairs. You would put one in Riser A slot 3 and one in Riser B Slot 3. Otherwise you should be all right.

Yes matched pairs in positions three and four, Riser A. The memory you are looking at if faster, but check it is compatible backwards compatible with the PC5300 667MHz memory already installed. It will not work at the 800MHz so it may be cheaper to get the PC5300 667!
