For that model of G4 iMac, yes, 2 Gb will work (source: Mactracker Mactracker),
1 - PC-2700 200-pin SO-DIMM (user accessible), 1 - PC-2700 184-pin SDRAM (factory installed). But read this: How do you upgrade the RAM in the iMac G4 models?
