I just got a 27" quad core i5 yesterday and I was wondering what the base fan speeds for this model are.

Everything was meant to be taken apart.

My speeds are as follows and will not drop at all!

OD: 1500
HDD: 1500
CPU: 940

The cpu seems normal but from what Im reading the HDD and OD are still 500 RPM's to high. I had fan control on my old mac and when I used migration assistant it brought it to this new machine. I uninstalled it but the speeds still wont drop. Let me know if anybody has a clue as to what I should do. Thanks a lot!

Fixed it!!

I had the Daemon from fancontrol lurking on my startup items. Once I finally found it I deleted it and reset my SMC. Turned it back on and my fan speeds are now as follows:

OD: 999
HDD: 1099
CPU: 938

What a relief.. Thanks trademark for your reply.
