Hello
First of all this my first post here so i would like to introduce myself. My name is Chris and i have just bought myself a G5 off eBay, Specs; 2.3ghz Dual Core Processor 10GB Ram 250GB HD OS X 10.5.8 23" Apple HD display All for the small price of £350 which made me a happy bunny! I am now wanting to make it wireless and have done some research. I know that the Airport extreme cards aren't for sale anymore so my question is, Has anyone got any experiences of a third party PCI wireless card for this? i appreciate your help! |

G'day Chris and welcome to the forums.
If this is a Dual Core with PCI-E and DDR2 memory, you need the Wireless/Bluetooth combo card and they are dear as all get out and available probably in US only where I purchased one some years ago from a LA warehouse, DVWarehouse from memory. This was discussed here:- PowerMac G5 Bluetooth Dongle issues And have never ever got a USB or PCIE wireless card to work yet with a Mac. Here is one I found cheap, did you actually use your friend Google? http://store.airportcardsdirect.com/pog5aiblcoki.html Last edited by harryb2448; 10-30-2010 at 05:17 PM. |
