I'd go for a dual 1,8... you'll really notice the dual proc's, but not much of a difference between 1,8 + 2Ghz.
To save a bit, get a 23" dell display instead of the 23" apple one.. (around half the price and almost just as good). Take the software prices into account though as well! (Final Cut & Photoshop aren't exactly cheap either...) And don't skimp on the RAM. 1GB is minimum. |

pretty much, im a community college student, they dont even teach classes they have the cool software for. Ive used FCP, PS, AEFX, quite a bit, and the dual always helped me I had dual monitors on the PC world because im visually impaired, and when i movoed over to mac, i realized how nice it is. Put preview full screen on one monitor, work FCP in one, AE in the other..its like a must have, once you get used to it, your work speed just goes so much faster. Ive had tripple, but thats 1. CONFUSING and 2. only for strict deadlines, and when i have access to my old dual PCs to use as a farm. Ive currentlyl got a 20" trinitron flat CRT as my main, and a cheapo dell 17" CRT as secondary...although i garbage picked the 20 :-) new vid 8/8/05 |
