Hi guys,

My first post here and my first Mac. I just picked up the latest iMac with the i3 processor and Radeon Video Card. So far very pleased and first impressions are outstanding to say the least. I am a happy camper.

Well here goes my first newbie question:

How virus proof are Macs? The main reason we went with the Mac is we do quite a bit of on line banking and wanted the better security Mac's are noted for. Is there anti virus software for Macs? If so do you guys recommend any?

Thanx in advance,

Butch

Welcome to M-F!

There are *NO* viruses for Mac. There are DNS changing Trojans in *pirated* software/anything.

There are only 3 million threads on this topic. Just search. You can read all day...

I don't have any anti-virus software. I've had this particular Mac for three years. No meltdowns.
