How hard would it be to swap a dual CPU from a G4 DDR into a single G4 DDR CPU?

I purchased a G4 DDR single CPU to replace my G4 DDR dual CPU because the mother board died in the dual Mac. Does anyone know where I can find directions to swap the two CPUs? They look the same size under the heat syncs, and the two heat syncs look the same too.

Would help no end if you supplied processor details etc as there are dozens of variants in the G4 models. In brief the answer if yes IF the they are identical models. here is a link on how to do this for earlier G4's, do a Google and you will find similar for MDD models.

Usually the heat sinks are completely different and you would need to get the CPU and heat sink as a pair..
