My mac mini (started life as a 1.5ghz solo, now sporting a 2.0ghz C2D) routinely downloaded the EFI & SMC firmware updaters last week and I was going to install them today. Both show "unexpected error occurred (0) Your firmware can not be updated".
The firmware update chart shows that both of the updates are compatible with all models up to the mini 3,1 (early 2009). Anyone else with an upgraded mini having this problem? Or does anyone know any other reason why this would error out? 15" 2.53ghz i5 MacBook Pro (2010) 8gb, 500gb HD - 60gb OWC SSD 13" 2.4ghz MacBook Unibody (late 2008) 4gb, 250gb 24" 2.4ghz Aluminum iMac (mid 2007) 3gb, 1tb mini 2.0ghz - 32gb iPhone 4 |
