Hi, first time poster. Sorry if this has been discussed before but I can't seem to find any answers to my question. My G5 needs a motherboard replacement which is very expensive, as I've seen a cheaper option in buying a secondhand G5, I was wondering if I could swap the system hard drive in the secondhand G5 with the one in my existing system hard drive without any problems or issues? Thanks for any help in advance.

You didn't tell us the models of the 2 G5's you have, and what OS version is on the hard drive...but in most cases you shouldn't have any problems...assuming the two G5's we're talking about are similar vintage.
If you have OS 10.5 on the drive...then it shouldn't be any problem. - Nick - Computer slow, too many "beachballs", read this: Beachballs - Computer seems slower than it used to?
