helo again. I'm interested to buy an iMac and I believe till the end of August that I will have it. I'm for a lot of years a windows user. Can anyone tell me what to know before making this big step?

I think you're asking in the wrong part of the forum, there's a "Switcher" lounge just a little above this section for discussion about "switching".

Anyways, welcome to the forums! Glad you've found your way here. I use both Windows and Mac machines. And I can tell you, both are pretty much as different as night and day, but neither are difficult to learn, just different.

Here's a great list by the Lifehacker blog about making the switch, it's a good read.
