Was the card purchased new or used? Original or flashed? It's possible that the card is damaged.
Also try resetting the pram on your machine. MacBook Pro 2.4 C2D,4gb,320gb 7.2k,10.6 (Primary) iMac G3 600, iBook G3 500, PBook G3 233, Atom WHS 16gb iPhone 4, 32gb iPhone 3Gs, TV1+2, iPad 32gb |

Here's a photo of the 64 MB version. LINK You didn't say where you purchased the card from but it's likely that you have the 64 MB version. A defective card (bad VRAM) would not work at all because of the way the VRAM is configured. Regards. |

Card was bought off ebay and is original as far as I know.
The question has been answered by chscag, I didn't know there was a 64mb version! I would've been happy with a 128 or 256. So I spent over £70 on a card with the same 64mb as I already had! I'd done quite a bit of research before getting this including buying another Radeon 9600 Pro which was advertised as mac compatible but wasn't. I had less problems buying my car. Thanks for the info. |

What did that Dual 1.8 G5 come with? Was it not an NVidia GeForce FX5200 Ultra? If so I still would rather have that ATI 9600 even with the 64 Megs VRam than the 5200.
Sorry though you paid that much for a 64 Meg card. Darn Ebay sometimes! |
