Hello, I am using a mac pro with everything pretty much stock. The one thing that has been upgraded is the graphics card. Now, my problem is the fact that when I am running two hard drives simultaneously from the FW400 port in the back and the FW400 port in the front, one drive randomly dismounts. This is a major problem because I am working in a professional music studio environment and my clients file database is dismounting while recording. I do not want to lose my clients or their files, or completely ruin a recording, so does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks, Kyle |

Hi Kylie, welcome to the Forum. Been down that road and in my case i had intermittent Firewire on a MBP and a La Cie enclosure that would unmount when it got to a certain temperature. Proved the HD was Ok by taking it out of the enclosure and mounting it in a Voyager Q drive dock (Review) where it remained on desktop.
