Sorry I'm Mac stupid. I just want to restart my Mac like new. On a PC it's a system restore, so I was wondering, how can I do this on a Mac?

it comes with a CD, you put it in and press C on startup, at least I think it is C, it says on the CD I am pretty sure.

All you would have to do is put in your Restore CD's and reinstall the OS. There is most likely an easier fix if you are having some kind of difficulty. If you aren't having any problems, then there really isn't much need to do so....is there any particular reason for wanting to do this?
Just curious......

Try first repair permissions. After every software update, and about every 2 weeks: close all apps and log totally off. Log on, go in Finder, Applications. Utilities, Disk Utility. After the message -getting disk information- select volume (below the hard drive name -upper left corner). Just highlight it. Now look to the lower two things are there near the middle, verify permissions, repair permissions. Click repair permissions

I had tried that before. Re-installing the OS did just the trick. It's perfect again. I love my Mac again. :biohazard

Glad to see everything worked out OK ...what was wrong that you needed to restore the OS?

Well, for some reason, on the internet, it wouldn't go into some websites and the links would never load. It was weird beacause at first i thought it was a Mac thing, but it was because they worked on everyone else's Mac. Plus I had messed up uninstalling Norton properly so now everytime I'm going to do something I'm going to ask here first.
