Hey ALL,

I have made the decision to purchase the 1.42ghz mac mini (after being a windows user since i was 15 years old, that's 10 years of windows!!! yuk). I want to have 1gb in the machine but the cost of it through apple is over AU$300. I get a student discount with mini but the price of the mini with the 1gb gets close to au$1200 if i use the apple ram. Then if i add the super drive its over AU$1300.

I have read posts about purchasing cheaper ram but all the places mentioned are in the states or uk. Does anyone know i site i can go to that is australian to purchase the ram?

If was was to purchase the ram myself i would assume i would have to install it myself as well. How hard would that be and does that void the warranty? I have concerns about wrecking the mini if i install it myself.

Thanks for you help in advance.
QUOTE Thanks
