Having trouble with airport extreme with iMac 27"

Just bought an iMac 27" and for some reason I cannot get the airport on the iMac to work. I've searched all over the net for tutorials but none of them seem to not work. Need some help! This is driving me nuts!

what kind of network are you connecting to? you need to have your IP settings correct or even encryption, maybe the iMac's hardware address added to your wifi ... if you post up your network settings then we can help you set up your connection if you're unsure where all the settings are and so on

sorry to say, you won't get any help just saying "my airport doesn't work" :-/
