I'm getting an iMac today. Any free stuff that you guys would recommend downloading? Excluding stuff like NeoOffice, web browsers (Opera, Firefox, Chrome), video players (VLC, Adobe media player), and image editors (Gimp).
Also, this is my family's first desktop computer in YEARS.

1. Onyx. You won't need it right away, but good to have for the future. Download OnyX for Mac - OS X maintenance & optimization tool. MacUpdate Mac Software Downloads 2. Xbench. Benchmarking program just for some fun. I use Handbrake all the time to rip DVD's
HandBrake My favorite application I have for my iMac (and iPhone) is not free but worth checking out Password Manager + Automatic Form Filler for Mac OS X iMac 21.5 late 2009 ...turning into an iMovie junky. |
