Hey all, I need some advice for those more knowledgable than I. I'm looking at purchasing a G4 but don't really know what I need spec wise. I've been looking on eBay and Hardcore Mac and the prices range from $300 - $1000 it seems like. Basically, I'm going to be using it for the home recording studio I'm building as well as some graphic design. I've been looking at the different G4's (Sawtooth, Digital Audio, etc.) but don't know what would be best for what I want to do with it. I'd like to stay under the $1000 range if possible. If not, that just means I would have to save up a little bit longer. Thanks for any suggestions and help you can give me!

I recomend the Digital Audio G4s as they have more PCI slots than any of the other G4s and they have a (slightly) faster bus 133MHz. You can easily upgrade the processor on the DAs for like $200. Check out www.macofalltrades.com they get them in from time to time and their prices are comparable to ebay, but easier to deal with than random auctioners. Well thats my $0.02. good luck
