tried almost everything possible, and matter seems to have gotten from bad to worse. Ran Diskwarrior4 ... took like 3 days and 3 days later, decided to to a hard restart.
after hard restart, DW can no longer find the HD. I don't think my HD is physically failing, so I'm thinking to remove the HDD from My Mac24 and replace it w/ a new one....I saw demo video online...seems easy enought but have to be extreamly careful..... Anyone has experience taking the Imac apart? Any suggestions?? |

Depends on the model iMac which you do not provide and your HD seems to be dead, not failing. If you do a Google on take apart for your model iMac you will find tutorials. As a suggestion before taking the iMac apart, pop in disc one of the original install discs that came with the machine and run Apple Hardware Test extended. It will diagnose problems.
