Unhappy Power supply for G4

Hi... I've got a G4 450 Mhz dual processor that won't power-up. I've changed the battery on the logic board, which hasn't worked... and so I can only assume that the problem is the power supply. Does anyone know whether you can use a PC power supply with a mac, as I have one spare... but I'm reluctant to try it for fear of frying my logic board?

Any suggestions?

Yes you can.
There is a change you need to make in order for it to work, but it's possible.

I'm not really sure, just read about it in a webpage.
If you search in google, something will come up.

If google is no help, search www.xlr8yourmac.com it has at least one article about this.
