I am having trouble with imacs at my school. When the computer is turned off, the dual display on the projector does not reconnect. The imacs have the nvidia 9400 chip in them. What are the settings to get the projector to stay connected through restart on the windows side?

How is the projector hooked up to the iMac? What kind of cable and adapter are you using? I'm assuming you mean that when the iMac is turned off and then on again the display does not automatically show up through the projector?

The graphics card shouldn't matter. A projector acts like an external display and has to be setup more or less the same way - depending on the model.
Also, make sure in System Preferences, Displays, that you have chosen "mirror" mode.

Regards.

Why not try Keynote - u can import your Powerpoint presentation and play it on the mac side. Less potential for issues.
