I have moved my G5 from a Music studio to my home environment. Never had any problems with it in the studio. Since I moved it to my home I have been having a problem with the computer shutting down. I am not sure if it is the new third party monitor I bought , Dell IN1910, I am now using a Compaq monitor but cannot find drivers for either. Seems like the computer or monitor goes to sleep but cannot be awakened without a reboot. I thought it might be overheating but everything is in the clear, nothing blocking the airflow. Have had power settings set for everything to stay on but nothing seems to change the problem and it is random, either from activity or non-activity. Not sure which or if this is a random heat problem occuring due to use. I did an upgrade to snow leopard and that seems to be when the problem started. Anyone have any ideas. I am new to the forum. Thank you. spardue@live.com
