I was reading about adding more drives to my powermac G5, looks like a aluminum tray and card...anyone ever use them...i dont want to spend alot, but who knows....

A SATA drive will simply slide in on the rails and there is a small power lead to connect to provided. Here is a link on how to do the job, with photos:-

Yea i already have 2 500 gb drives and want to add more drives. i saw a adapter that added 2 drives to the front of the fan assembly and came with a controller card of some sort...it was around 200 dollars or so...

Didnt know if anyone here ever used them before...

Now that is a cat of a different colour, or a completely different question. Have a look at Sonnet Jive which will fill your needs:-
