Well i just got my new iMac 21.5 with the ATI Radeon HD 4670 graphics card last week and l love it! No problem with it what so ever!

But I did a test with my Black Macbook 2.2 with 4gb of ram and would like to share.

I did the test on the Sims 3 game. Once i clicked the Sims 3 icon i started the stop watch and once I could start playing the game I stopped the stop watch.

Here are my results

Macbook- 2:24sec
iMac- 1:32

Thats almost a minute faster! Plus the game looks better and plays better too on the iMac.

100% explainable by CPU speed. (3.0 -2.2)/2.2 = 36% faster CPU
36% of the time should be knocked off of the 2:24 which wd be 52 seconds. 52 seconds off of 2:24 = 1:36

Nice break down sarends! So which one would be faster to run Sims 3, 3.06 GHz Core 2 Duo or the 2.66 GHz i5?

Probably the 3.06 would be faster to run one game. But if you were to play the game, surf the net, watch an HD movie all at the same time, the i5 would probably run better. Correct me if I'm wrong.

The other 4 seconds could be explained by the faster FSB on the iMac.
