EFI32 Firmware upgrade??

I find it very ironic that I can comfortably run Windows7 64 bit on my Mac Pro 1.1 but I cannot run the 64bit kernal of OSX. I am not making an argument that 64bit may be better, or worse, then the 32bit version. Just my frustration that an artificial barrier has been placed in front of us. The only reasonable explanation is to force the upgrade path....very mircrosoft'esc.

I have become quite the Mac Fan over the last year and a half. There are three in my house, I move all my friends to Mac. However, this is the first time I have been frustrated by Apple.

Any body have good news for us beleaguered Mac Pro 1.1 owners ??
