I came accross a log file (private/var/log/asl) that was 65GB. I deleted the file by dragging into trash, updated my computer but the file keeps coming back and is growing quite quickly. Is there a way to permanently delete it? Or how can I find out why it is growing so quickly?
QUOTE Thanks

Quickly googled this for you ....

Apple - Support - Discussions - private/var log eating up hard drive ...

Hope it helps you find the process that is responsible for writing to the logs.

Cheers ... McBie

The problem is not the problem. The problem is your attitude towards the problem. You understand ?
